2009 Accomplishments
Since it started its activties in 2007, ADEF has trained 158 youth aged 11 to 16 from eight different Arab countries in various forms of digital expression in cinema, sound and music, graphic design, web design, animation, sports, arts and crafts and web 2.0 within a summer camp model. It also has trained 68 Arab trainers (aged 20 to 30) from Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine, Sudan and Syria in digital arts and various training methodologies for the purpose of expression. Young professionals are trained in open source software in the different audio-visual media and design and participate in enriching discussions over online sharing and collaboration and the roles of individuals and groups in this emerging worldwide trend that is proving to have tremendous empowering impact.
ADEF launches pre-camp training of trainers workshop 13 – 18 July
Cairo 13-07-2009 – The Arab Digital Expression Foundation launched its training of training workshop which includes 26 trainers from Egypt, Tunis, Morocco, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon which continues until July 18.

The Arab Digital Expression Foundation (ADEF) launched Friday May 22 its 2009 training of trainers' workshop where 18 young professional Arab artists and techies aged 20 to 30 from Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Morocco, Tunisia and Sudan.

The deadline for registration for the 2009 Arab Digital Expression summer camp is June 30.
The summer camp will take place from 19 to 31 July and will be held in Morgan Hotel, Ismailia, Egypt. Eighty Arab youth aged 12 to 15 will take part in the event. Interested candidates are therefore encouraged to apply soon as space is limited.

Great news for the Arab Digital Expression Camps project. Ashoka, an international organization that grants fellowships to individuals working in public development, has selected ADEC Coordinator Ranwa Yehia as one of its fellows.

ADEC Concludes 2008 Session
Cairo 18-08-2008: The Arab Digital Expression Camps (ADEC) project concluded its 2008 session Saturday (16 August), sending back home 34 children from seven Arab countries who spent two weeks of fun and produced diverse works in digital expression.
